22 Sep Looking After Nature: Episode 1
The first full length episode of our Looking After Nature podcast is here. Each month we will be bringing you closer to nature in Hampshire with conversations from our Hampshire Countyside Service rangers and other conservation and wildlife experts. We’ll be bringing you to the heart of what we do and the rangers will be explaining what they get up to and how their work helps protect our countryside.
We hope it will be a real insight into the world of countryside care. Future topics include local birds and wildlife, conservation topics, environment issues and how everyone can make the most of the countryside to benefit our health and wellbeing. This will include some of the best places you can go for walks and adventures in the county.
For this first episode, one of our hosts, Andy, speaks to Steve Peach to talk everything trees – how we care, protect and manage them. Steve is one of the most experienced rangers on our team with nearly 40 years with the service!
You can use the player above to listen to the first episode. The podcast is also available on Spotify, Google, Apple and Android. It will also be available on our YouTube channel shortly.
Check back next month for the next installment of our Looking After Nature podcast.
NB: On some devices, this episode may be the start of series 2 of the podcast. The first series of podcasts we produced are available here, which were a 16 part introduction to mindfulness.
